Risk Disclosure

A transparent overview of the risks associated with cryptocurrency investments on the PROFISTRA platform. Read this document carefully before investing.

Effective: January 1, 2025 Last updated: January 1, 2025
Important: Cryptocurrency investments may result in the partial or total loss of your invested capital. Only invest funds you can afford to lose.

01General Risk Warning

Investing in cryptocurrency-related financial products carries a high degree of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The value of digital assets can decrease as well as increase. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Before investing, you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, risk appetite, and financial situation. You should seek independent financial advice if necessary. PROFISTRA does not provide personalised investment advice.

By activating an investment plan on PROFISTRA, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the risks outlined in this document and accept them fully.

02Market Volatility Risk

Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile. The value of Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT-pegged assets, and other digital assets can experience large price swings — sometimes exceeding 20–30% within a single day. This volatility directly affects the profitability of algorithmic trading and DeFi yield strategies.

During periods of extreme market stress (such as exchange collapses, regulatory crackdowns, or macroeconomic shocks), trading strategies may generate significantly lower returns or temporary losses. While PROFISTRA employs risk management protocols including stop-loss controls and position sizing, no strategy can eliminate market risk entirely.

03Operational Risks

Operational risks include failures, errors, or disruptions in our systems, processes, or third-party service providers. These may include:

  • Server outages, database failures, or network disruptions that temporarily prevent access to the platform;
  • Errors in smart contract execution or on-chain transaction failures;
  • Human error in operations or administration;
  • Failures or outages of third-party services we depend on, including Firebase, Tron network infrastructure, and DeFi protocols.

PROFISTRA maintains redundant infrastructure and backup systems, but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We will communicate planned maintenance and unplanned outages via our official Telegram and dashboard notifications.

04Regulatory Risk

The regulatory landscape for cryptocurrency and DeFi is evolving rapidly. Governments worldwide are developing new frameworks that may affect the operation of platforms like PROFISTRA. Potential regulatory actions include:

  • Restrictions or bans on cryptocurrency investment platforms in specific jurisdictions;
  • New licensing requirements that may require operational changes;
  • Asset seizure or freezing orders issued by competent authorities;
  • Tax obligations that vary significantly between countries.

You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws and regulations applicable to cryptocurrency investments in your jurisdiction.

05Technology & Cybersecurity Risk

Blockchain technology and smart contracts may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or be subject to exploits. DeFi protocols — particularly those used in yield farming strategies — have been subject to significant hacks and exploits resulting in the loss of user funds. While PROFISTRA conducts due diligence on protocols we use, we cannot guarantee the security of third-party smart contracts.

Cybersecurity threats including phishing attacks, malware, and SIM-swapping pose risks to your account. You are responsible for securing your email account, devices, and login credentials. PROFISTRA will never contact you asking for your password or seed phrases.

06Liquidity Risk

PROFISTRA maintains liquidity reserves to process withdrawal requests. However, in the event of unusually high simultaneous withdrawal demand, processing times may be extended beyond our standard 24-hour window. To manage liquidity risk:

  • Investment plan principals are subject to a 15-day lock period;
  • Large withdrawal requests may require additional review;
  • PROFISTRA reserves the right to stagger large withdrawals across multiple business days during exceptional circumstances.

07Mining & Infrastructure Risk

Bitcoin mining profitability is subject to several variable factors including:

  • Hash rate difficulty adjustments: As global mining competition increases, the block rewards per unit of computing power decrease;
  • Energy costs: Increases in electricity prices directly impact net mining profitability;
  • Hardware depreciation: Mining equipment has a finite useful lifespan and requires ongoing capital expenditure for upgrades;
  • Bitcoin halving events: Scheduled halvings reduce the block reward by 50%, directly impacting mining revenue.

PROFISTRA diversifies revenue across multiple streams to mitigate over-reliance on any single source, but users should understand that mining contribution to overall returns may vary significantly over time.

08No Investment Advice

Nothing on the PROFISTRA platform constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All content is provided for informational purposes only. PROFISTRA is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution in any jurisdiction.

Investment decisions are entirely your own. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified financial adviser before committing funds to any cryptocurrency investment platform.

09Stablecoin & USDT Risk

PROFISTRA operates exclusively with USDT (Tether) on the TRON TRC-20 network. While USDT is designed to maintain a 1:1 peg with the US dollar, stablecoins carry specific risks that investors should understand:

  • De-pegging risk: USDT has historically maintained its peg, but stablecoins can temporarily or permanently lose their 1:1 dollar value under extreme market stress, reserve concerns, or regulatory action. A significant de-peg event would directly affect the real-world value of funds on the platform;
  • Issuer risk (Tether): USDT is issued by Tether Limited. The company's reserve management practices, regulatory standing, and solvency are external factors PROFISTRA cannot control. Users should monitor developments related to Tether independently;
  • Network risk (TRON): All deposits and withdrawals use the TRC-20 protocol on the TRON blockchain. Network congestion, protocol upgrades, or a TRON chain-level security incident could temporarily delay or affect transactions;
  • Wrong-network risk: Sending USDT via the ERC-20 (Ethereum) or BEP-20 (BNB Chain) network instead of TRC-20 to a PROFISTRA address will result in permanent loss of funds. PROFISTRA only accepts and processes TRC-20 USDT transfers. Always verify the network before sending;
  • Regulatory action on stablecoins: Regulators in multiple jurisdictions are developing frameworks that could restrict, restructure, or require reserve changes for stablecoin issuers. Such actions could affect USDT availability or its dollar peg.

PROFISTRA uses USDT because it provides a stable unit of account for investment plans and withdrawals. We do not take speculative positions in volatile assets on behalf of users and do not expose user funds to USDT de-pegging risk beyond the inherent risk of holding USDT itself.

10User Responsibility

Investing on PROFISTRA requires you to take an active role in managing your own risk. By using the platform, you accept the following responsibilities:

  • Invest only what you can afford to lose: Cryptocurrency investment plans are not savings accounts. Do not invest funds needed for living expenses, emergencies, or short-term obligations. There is a real possibility that returns will be lower than projected, or that exceptional circumstances could delay access to funds;
  • Read all platform documentation: Before activating any investment plan, you are responsible for reading and understanding the plan terms, this Risk Disclosure, our Terms of Service, and our Refund Policy;
  • Verify all transaction details before submitting: Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Always confirm the recipient wallet address, the USDT amount, and the TRC-20 network before sending any funds. PROFISTRA cannot recover funds sent to incorrect addresses or on incorrect networks;
  • Understand the 15-day lock period: Investment plan principals cannot be withdrawn until 15 days after plan activation. Do not invest funds that you may need urgently within this window;
  • Comply with your local laws: You are solely responsible for determining whether using PROFISTRA is legal in your jurisdiction, and for meeting any tax reporting obligations on investment returns in your country;
  • Keep your account credentials secure: You are responsible for the security of your account login, email address, and withdrawal address. PROFISTRA is not liable for losses arising from account compromise caused by user negligence, phishing, or malware;
  • Do not rely solely on PROFISTRA: Diversification is a fundamental principle of responsible investing. PROFISTRA should represent only one part of a balanced approach to managing your finances — not the entirety of your savings or investment portfolio.

If you have questions about any of these responsibilities, or if anything in this disclosure is unclear, contact us at support@profistracapital.com before investing. We are here to help you invest with confidence and full awareness of the risks involved.
